So a final, retiring word for the bunny blog.

The bunny was hired by an animal casting agent. The bunny renowned ability for humping my arm apparently caught the attention of Hollywood, and he will be a back-up animal in an all-pet version of "Boogie Nights".

I will miss him. I will most likely see him every week or so.

When it's quite enough, you can hear the bunny make little grunty noises when he hops around.

He also is even more calm and complacent these days, you can just pick him up whenever you like. No quick scooping necessary!

I forgot to mention this:

The bunny can now leap 3 feet into the air, when he feels so inclined. I think him jumping over that painting has led to his personal discovery of this power, and he enjoys flaunting it occasionally.

BOING!

At one point yesterday, I referred to the bunny as "My special Hoppy".

What have I become?

Two nights ago I had what I thought was a flash of genius- use an old painting I had lying around as a partition between the bedroom and the kitchen, and let the bunny roam free in the kitchen, where he can't get in trouble, while I sleep. The painting created a 3 foot barrier in the doorway.

3 AM - the bunny is calmly standing on my back, tugging on my shirt. The painting- unmoved. Is the bunny capable of such vaults? It's all I can think of.

The bunny got to get a little reacquainted with his original owner this last week, and he seemed to recall her, at least as much as bunnies can recall things in general. At any rate, the entire household waas glad for her visit.

So the bunny was proving to be elusive, and I had to start really rooting around under the bed to track down Bunter. (That's pronounced Boonter, as if the U had an umlaut.) At any rate, Bunny was calmly sitting in the until-recently sealed sheet change rubbermaid container.

I have no idea how he did it. But it gave me an idea. Perhaps it can server as his litter box, instead of the blue little rug in the bathroom.

We shall see.

I just noticed when the bunny is chewing something that requires a little tougher teeth action, like these delicious new fiber pillows I've been feeding him, he cocks his ear to one side, which seems to imply his ears actually supply leverage to the mastication process. I love it.
